Kay joined Unified to advance its Value-Based Care transformation initiatives, providing physician leadership, operational support and strategic direction.
She was a practicing Ob-Gyn physician for more than two decades in Virginia, having served most recently as President and Chief of Medical Informatics for Virginia Women’s Center. Kay and her team were recognized as the HIMSS Nationwide Davies Award Winner for Implementation of Ambulatory Electronic Healthcare Records and later received the General Electric Innovation Award in EMR for workflow redesign and accounts receivable management.
Kay is a seasoned women’s healthcare operations specialist. Her most notable operational contributions include the creation of a National Collaborative for Best Practices and Healthcare Information Technology platform optimization.
Kay holds a Master of Business Administration from the Mason School of Business at William & Mary, a Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University.
