UWH of North Carolina is comprised of 34 individual practice offices and more than 200 physicians. The group joined the Unified network in 2014 and covers 12 counties across the state. In addition to a full range of obstetric and gynecological services, several North Carolina practices provide in-office mammography services and midwifery care.
North Carolina is also home to Unified Women’s Clinical Research, which maintains its headquarters in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and collaborates among four sites across the state that are involved in conducting and partnering on clinical trials and studies involving investigational medications, devices, gene therapy and vaccines.

As physicians, we are dedicated to spending our time on our patients’ health and helping to make their lives better. What is usually difficult for us is having also to spend so much time on navigating payor relationships, compliance issues, and the changing landscape of healthcare. What if there was a way for physicians to have help with these issues without giving up our autonomy? What if we could focus most of our attention back to the care of our patients while preserving our own practices? What if we even had a voice in working toward women’s healthcare maintaining the highest standards of quality? We now have these abilities and more, with Unified Women’s Healthcare as a partner.
